About us
Loneliness is urban.
Cities are full of people — yet for new grads, interns, and recent transplants, they can feel startlingly empty. Every move for school, a job, or a lease reset tears up the roots you were just starting to grow.
New grads
College hands you a built-in social world, then takes it away the week you graduate.
City transplants
A new job or a new lease can mean starting your entire social life from zero.
Constant movers
Every relocation tears up roots you were only just starting to grow.
It's not about being around people.
Research consistently shows that young adults in transition report some of the highest rates of loneliness, and urban residents often feel it more acutely than people in tight-knit communities. Density isn't connection. Proximity isn't friendship.
The hard part was never meeting people — it's finding the handful who actually fit, and then seeing them often enough for a friendship to take hold.
What we do about it
You answer a thoughtful questionnaire about your interests, personality, lifestyle, and values. We read every response and personally introduce you to people in your city you're genuinely likely to click with — then help you actually meet in real life.
The Connection Project is built for anyone rebuilding their social world from scratch.
